KENTUCKY HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC DIRECTOR AWARDS
Each Year the Kentucky High School Athletic Director Association is proud to recognize individuals who are leaders in interscholastic athletics in Kentucky. We recognize those leaders with the following awards.
KHSADA/KHSCA Garnis Martin Outstanding Coach Award
This award is presented to a Kentucky high school coach whose career has distinguished itself as exceptional in coaching accomplishments, community service and other honors/awards.
KHSADA Jim Watkins Award of Excellence
This award is presented to a Kentucky High School Athletic Director who has shown during his/her career, loyalty, dedication, and service to the KHSADA and whose contributions to the profession represents excellence in achievement.
KHSADA / KHSCA Father Harry Jansing Athletic Director of the Year
This award is presented to a Kentucky High School Athletic Director who has made significant contributions within the field of athletic administration, professional advancement, honors, awards, and community service during his/her career.
KHSADA—Dr. Rudy J Ellis Distinguished Service Award
This award is presented to an individual(s), group, or business outside the field of athletic administration in recognition of their service to interscholastic athletics over the years.
NIAAA / KHSADA Student Athlete Scholarship
Purpose of Scholarship
In accordance with National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association’s (NIAAA) and the Kentucky High School Athletic Directors Association’s (KHSADA) purpose to promote, facilitate and increase the knowledge and understanding of the vital role of interscholastic athletics in the educational system, this scholarship program will foster and recognize the partnership between the NIAAA, KHSADA and secondary education. The scholarships will recognize the distinguished scholastic, leadership and sportsmanship attributes of high school student-athletes, and the importance of high school athletics in each student’s life.
